Bristol Rovers Solve Their Ground Share Problem

By: Nick | June 5th, 2007

ct.jpgAfter snubs from Bristol City and Swindon Town — Gas Heads will be relieved to know that their team look to have a home for their fresh appearance in League 1 next season. But they’ll have to travel 40 odd miles to do so at Cheltenham Town’s Whaddon Road.

Rovers director Geoff Dunford seems quite pleased:

“We feel the size of Whaddon Road will help create an excellent atmosphere, much the same as Twerton Park did for us when we moved to Bath in 1986″.

It hardly compares to the San Siro ground share, but sounds as if it’ll do just nicely.
