Club Crest of the Week - Scunthorpe United

By: Nick | February 28th, 2007

sufclogo.gif This image truly wouldn’t look out of place at a Communist Party rally in Moscow circa 1980. There’s just a clear Eastern European flavor to the logo of League One’s ‘Iron’.

Scunthorpe United dream of Championship football next season - they have a solid nine point lead at the summit of League One - on route to their first appearance in the English second flight since 1964.

It’s a very nice update to their 1970’s crest - just modern enough for me. Certainly imposing too - I’d hate to be hit in the face by that fist full of iron.

That is awesome. Has to be one of the better crests out there.
