Leeds United Struggle to Go Where They Have Never Gone Before

By: Nick | May 21st, 2007

leeds1.jpg No, that wouldn’t be the fringes outer space, but Coca Cola League One. Though some frustrated supporters might believe they’re one and the same.

Fresh from the worst case scenario at season’s end with the double whammy of relegation and administration (leading to a swift rule review) — Leeds are quickly coming to terms with the harsh financial reality of their new found League position.

Season ticket prices have been slashed considerably, and in a rare act of player faith, all but four of the 36 man squad have agreed to a deferment of wages to aid (and perhaps secure) the future of the club. Things can’t be good. I’d imagine the four who said “no” must be an extremely stubborn bunch.
