Chester City’s Chairman Plays a Naming Game
By: Nick | April 19th, 2007
Most fans of League Two football have a considerable amount to worry about as their clubs struggle to survive on budgets far lower than John Terry’s yearly salary.
Will we hold on to our League status? Can we pay our players on time? Will our ground be sold to a retail developer? Will the slightly crazy chairman of our club spitefully change our club’s name in a dispute with the local council?
Although the last question might seem absurd at first glance - it is sadly an issue the poor fans of Chester City have been faced with recently.
Though it’s likely all a big pissing contest between two groups with little or no empathy for the average fan, it’s bewildering stuff (and mildly absurd).
