Football League Club Crest of the Week — Hereford United

By: Nick | March 13th, 2007

hereford_united.jpg Pop quiz - the City of Hereford in the West of England has a rich industrial or agricultural history? Answers on a postcard.

Hereford United have been around since 1924, and it looks as if their crest has been altered little since. It has a very simple local charm - reflecting the nature of a true local Football Club.

Many animal mascots are given a snarling or imposing image, but not this Herefordshire Bull who seems to be giving us a squinted knowing look that seems to say “how long must I pose like this? - I have many cows back there that need a good seeing to”. And who are we to argue with him?
