If I Go Back to University Some Day, I’d Like to Go to Bristol — For Then I Might be Able to Live in a Football Stadium
By: Nick | April 3rd, 2007
I don’t care if it might distract during finals week - who the heck wouldn’t want to have an apartment in a corner of a football ground?
That’s exactly the ‘dream’ living arrangement some lucky student can look forward to, as Bristol Rovers are about to move ahead with redevelopment of their Memorial Ground, which will include 105 flats built into the corners. All set aside for students. Seriously.
I’d imagine the waiting list for said living quarters will be just a tad long - but where can I sign up? I’d be in nirvana if I got to live the student life (ie: booze, junk food, parties, a little study and some more booze) — all in the corner of a football stadium! Who cares if it’s League Two.
As the work takes place, Bristol Rovers are looking for a temporary home - before settling into their new digs, where they’ll have to get used to the typical student aroma’s of smelly feet, old pizza, cigarettes, stale beer and wacky backy.
