Peterborough Director Barry Fry Calls His Club’s Tag as Promotion Favourites a “Disgrace”

By: Nick | May 31st, 2007

pet_barryfry.jpg I’m guessing he’s upset because he neglected to have a decent flutter when the odds were much longer. But isn’t being 3-1 favorites actually a good thing?

The man in question is the erstwhile Barry Fry, never a character to keep his opinions to himself at the best of times. He expressed his disappointment:

“Of course I am very optimistic we will be in the running for the title next season, but that is no price whatsoever and I couldn’t back us at that”.

Sounds like a man pissed off at being denied a chance to make some money.
