“Posh” Threat Nets Result (This Time)

No it’s not Mrs. David Beckham doing the threatening - but Peterborough United’s ignominious (read: idiot) director Barry Fry. Not content with raising eyebrows by recently hiring the inexperienced son of a certain Mr. A Ferguson as their new manager - “the Posh” grabbed headlines again over the weekend with a delightful threat to sue a brand new signing who’d failed to turn up for work.
Well, the scare tactic seems to have had success - as the player in question has reportedly turned up. Too bad really - I would loved to have volunteered for jury duty in that case.
The club are no stranger to the legal world judging from their highly amuzing 2002 battle with the afore mentioned Victoria Beckham over the rights to the name “Posh”. A truly bizarre story you simply couldn’t make up - even if you tried really really hard.
