Who’d Want to be a Wrexham Fan These Days?

By: Nick | April 13th, 2007

wrexham-afc.jpg Poor Wrexham must simply be cursed or something. I wonder how their poor fans cope to be perfectly honest. Desperately clinging on to their League existence (which they’ve held since 1921), the faithful have only recently recovered from nearly being swindled out of their ground by a former charlatan chairman.

The fans have done everything in their power to save the club, and even Liverpool’s Craig Bellamy has done his bit for the cause.

But now, to top things off, the clubs birthplace (a hotel) is under threat from stadium expansion plans. A strange choice given their current plight. I’ll say it again - who’d want to be a Wrexham these days? Fortunately there are people who do care out there, and passionately support their local club. You can do a small bit to help them here.
