Tuesday Predictions
By: Matt | November 6th, 2007Tonight brings some interesting fixtures to England’s Second Tier:
Intriguing Matchups:
On paper this game looks like a done deal, first vs last. Norwich has been truly dismal this year, while Watford has seemed even stronger than they were in their promotion year. New Canaries boss Glen Roeder did seem to inject some life into his side in a crucial East Anglia derby on the weekend, as they came back from two-nil down to get a draw. Norwich will be without Darren Huckerby however, and Jamie Cureton might find chances few and far between.
Prediction: Watford 2-0
QPR v Coventry
QPR defeated Hull on the weekend, a bit surprisingly, with new signing Akos Buzsaky running the show from the middle of the park. The win under new manager Luigi Di Canio pulled them out of the relegation spots. Coventry (8th in the table) may find the going tough at Loftus Road.
Prediction: 1-1 Draw
The newly promoted vs the recently relegated, both in strong position in the league. BC has been the pleasant surprise of the year, but will face a stern test against the Addicks. This should be a fairly entertaining game to watch, as City can play some lovely football at Ashton Gate.
Prediction: Bristol City 2-1
Battle of the Hamptons
Wolves have been a bit inconsistent as of late, drawing with second in the table Bristol City, but getting spanked by Ipswich, 3-0. The Saints have some injury problems, and their financial distractions will not serve to help them much here.
Prediction: Wolves 1-0
