Cardiff City Lose a Player (Literally)

By: Nick | February 7th, 2007

mia2.jpg Let’s face it - Chuck Norris is simply too old (and scary looking) to come to the aid of Cardiff City - but they might make the call anyway, as it seems they need help locating a player who’s fallen off the radar (technical term).

Perhaps if the player were Thierry Henry the services of the bearded action hero might be in demand - but he’s unlikely to be tempted out of retirement to help the Bluebirds track down a missing loanee from Stoke City.

The most glaring question I have is how did clubs track down players before the age of mobile phones? Would a carrier pigeon be the method of choice to reach a player away from his home? Would they be required to call into the club from a pay phone at, say, three hour intervals? Probably not.

My guess is the players on a massive bender, having had the realization that his football career is dwindling. Or simply lost his mobile. Or dead.

They should install GPS tracking devices in their players.
