It’s All About the Pride of the Shirt — #6. Coventry City
By: Nick | March 23rd, 2007
Coventry City are mildly famous for once sporting perhaps the worst football kit in the history of the game. That’s quite an achievement when you consider the multitude of terrible kits over the years.
I first noticed this years version when Coventry toured the States last summer. The thing I noticed was how cheap it looked compared to their USL opponents’ shiny Nike ensemble. It’s just that subtle shadow stripe pattern that gives it an old fashioned (not retro) look. It resembles a shirt you might find for sale at a charity shop.
