Ha! Ha! Football League Suits Bring April Fools Day Early? …Surely

I’ll admit that today’s revelation from within the Football League, proposing an end to drawn games by the shoot out system has left me completely gob smacked.
Surely aliens descended to planet Earth last night and decided that the Human race was to be replaced by green blobs with flesh suits - starting at the Football League headquarters.
How else is there to explain such a preposterous idea being even remotely considered? Sadly it’s not the first of April (I checked) - so this isn’t a semi-hilarious ruse.
Or perhaps the founders of Major League Soccer were right all along? Hmmm… (resting chin on hand).
