Hello Great Big Universe!
By: Nick | February 5th, 2007
Greetings and a very warm welcome to a shiny brand new section of The Offside - all about the English Football League. I’ll be covering the proud clubs who bravely survive in the all too large shadow of the Premiership juggernaut - with most clubs sadly left to feed on the meagre scraps that might spill from the mouths of the greedy EPL fat cats.
Besides the nuts and bolts - I hope to also provide some insight into the rich history and broad culture of the teams from the Championship, League One and League Two. That’s Division Two, Three and Four for the traditionalists out there (of which I am one).
So stay tuned as I delve into the plight and fight of the British clubs battling to survive on a fraction of John Terry’s yearly pay packet.

Good stuff… I wasn’t sure after reading the bit about the greedy bastards of the EPL. But after all, that’s fact and not opinion. Man, everyone around here is doing two blogs. I’d better get started if I wanna look cool.

Yeah, Sam. ALL the cool people are doing two.
Hey! I have an idea! Why don’t you blog on CANADIAN soccer!! (And why is that even funnier than MLS?)
P.S. Congrats, Nick, from Laurie at LA Galaxy Offside and France WCB.
