Leeds United - Sinking in More Ways than One

By: Nick | March 5th, 2007

ship.jpg A good sign you’re in deep deep trouble is when your Captain asks to go back to his old club a few days before you face yet another desperate fixture to try to somehow avoid relegation.

That’s the perplexing situation Dennis Wise faced as he tried to motivated his squad ahead of the big rivalry match with Sheffield Wednesday. It’s enough to make a person actually feel sorry for Leeds’ fans.

Just how bad can things get for a club a mere six years removed from a Champions League semi-final? The words ’soap’ and ‘opera’ hardly do it justice to be fair.
