New “Wemberley” (Singing) Will Host The Football League Playoffs

By: Nick | March 30th, 2007

wemb.jpg The only group of people sad about the Football League playoffs returning to Wembley Stadium are likely the business community of Cardiff. And perhaps Carlisle fans should they make it (hint: it’s a very long drive down to London).

Cardiff has benefited greatly from the lengthy building process that hampered Wembley - but I suppose sporting associations are fighting over the chance to visit the much ballyhooed “home of football”.

The new pitch was in pretty bad shape after the under 21 friendly last week - it’ll need to be fixed come May.
