Rafa’s Plan Not Getting a Big Thumbs Up

By: Nick | March 22nd, 2007

ben.jpg Surprise, surprise. It seems that Rafa’s radical notion that Premiership reserve teams should be allowed to play in the Football League has gone down like a lead balloon within the League circle - with words like “insulting” and “out of order” flying about.

You can’t really blame people for being a little disturbed that a top Premiership manager should be trying to dictate the future of a whole structure that seems to be doing quite well for itself. Rafa called Everton a “small” club recently - does he truly have the best interests of ‘microscopic’ Bury FC at heart? I’d hazard a guess at no.
